"Today is the day of salvation."
If you are not found 'today' in HOT pursuit of Christ Jesus fleeing from the world, sin and self, you are either backsliding or have never begun the pursuit. Period.
There is one hand of salvation, multitudes, multitudes still in the valley of decision - they are the presuming multitudes on a broad way. On the other hand you have a lowly band who have decided and are the fearing remnant - prisoners of hope.
Which side are you on? God's great work of redemption has occurred! Where do you stand in reference to it? Do you presumptuously take the free gift as just another one of your trinkets? Or are you in fear and do became as a beggar for mercy, a prisoner of free grace?

Truly Christ Jesus has a finished and universal work. His crucifixion and cross was the scene of brutal agony - the place of sacrifice. We deserved what He received. Christ Crucified. The finished work of God.
This atonement has one universal aspect: that His death was indeed The token death for all man.
