“For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appeareth for a little time and then vanisheth away.” (James 4:14)
Gone so fast are the past three years - poured out at the feet of Jesus. We, as a family with one new member, are returning to the States for three months. Our aim for the next three months is to rest, finish YangMei’s immigration, stir up the saints and win souls! What more can we do? Let’s Go!
Gone so fast are the months and minutes of our lives. Just today, June 1st, Rich had a meeting with the headmaster/owner of the Korean school he has worked at the past year. She was sad I was leaving early and wanted to learn more of our life and ministry. A precious, kind and humble lady. She said our adoption story humbled her and she offered her prayers for us and said that Rich would have a place to teach again if ever he needed. She said the first time they met she thought Jesus was coming. We only pray that the glory of Jesus may indeed shine out of us continually.
Gone so fast is the time wasted - it can never be regained. What are you living for, dear friend? Is it worth Jesus Christ dying for? Is what you’re living for, really worth living for? God wants us to make our lives count for eternity and the never-dying, eternal souls all around us. As the church of Jesus Christ, have we really begun to make the redemptive noise in the earth that He is worthy of? Come on! Have you victory over all the distractions, temptations and trials beset on every side. Do you stand confidently in the victory of the living, holy Christ?
The initial plan for our family is to make home in the Springfield, Missouri area at a missionary home for the months of June and July. In August, Lord permitting, we will travel down to Hot Springs, Arkansas and reside with the precious Harmon family at a Church camp ground. We are really looking forward to this and pray it works out.
If at any time you would like to hear our story or need a preacher in your local fellowship, we would be happy to talk to you and make the necessary arrangements. Really! Maybe your fellowship has a tired preacher who needs a week off to rest? If so, then please contact us. We would be happy to serve you in Word, Prayer and Service. Once we have our state side phone number we will send it out, until then you can reach us at [email protected] or through Facebook, facebook.com/streetchurch34.
Lastly, we will send out a separate update about our time with our dear brothers and sisters in the Lord down in Guangzhou during adoption travel, it was a most precious time!
Magnify the Lord with us and let us exalt His name together! Let us press on to love and good works and lay hold on eternity!
