"And Moses went up into the mount, and a cloud covered the mount. And the glory of the Lord abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days: and the seventh day He called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud. And the sight of the glory of God was like devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel. And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and gat him up into the mount: and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights." Exodus 24
God is not in a hurry because He is holy.
Six days did the servant of the Lord tarry until he was called to draw near. And to think on Sundays the majority of 'church' congregations eat and drink and laugh and play their way into gods presence - I tell you the truth; it is not Almighty God's presence they are abiding in.
Finally, Moses abode forty days in God's holy presence. He did not arise quickly after the amen; he did not gorge on donuts or coffee just to remain engaged. No, no, no - Moses feared and trembled; he was in awe and was face-to-face with the true and living God. There is no quick departure from this meeting - there can't be - it is too awe-some.
