(A long read, but please labor diligently through these blessed passages)
So king Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth for riches and for wisdom. And all the earth sought to Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart (1 Kings 10:23-24).
But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites; For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the Lord his God, as was the heart of David his father. And Solomon did evil in the sight of the Lord, and went not fully after the Lord, as did David his father (1 Kings 11:1, 4, 6).
But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die. Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal? When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die (Ezekiel 18:24-26).
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived… (1 Corinthians 6:9a).
WARN THE WICKED; WARN THE RIGHTEOUS (Ezekiel 3)
Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother (1 John 3:7, 9-10).
Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord God : and not that he should return from his ways, and live (Ezekiel 18:23 KJV)?
But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid (Galatians 2:17).
And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin (1 John 3:5).
Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. Labour not for the meat that perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life (John 6:28-29, 27).
Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only (James 2:24).
Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God (Hebrews 10:18, 26-31).
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8).
Be ye therefore followers of God… (Eph. 5:1).
The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light (Matthew 6:22).
Be ye therefore perfect as your Father which is in heaven is perfect (Matthew 5:48).
And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect (Genesis 17:1).
Jesus said unto him, 'If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thought hast, and give to the poor, and though shalt have treasure in heaven; and come and follow Me' (Matthew 19:21).
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Matthew 6:21
And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure (1 John 3:3).
Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17).
In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him (1 John 4:9).
