In 1525, a dear man, through much trial and trouble reached Augsburg in Bavaria. He found the city divided and in turmoil, fighting for "correct" biblical doctrine. Some following Zwingli, others Luther. But this man found only two or three sincerely willing to follow Christ and walk as He walked.
He wrote to one protestant leader frustratingly: "What would it help you if you should reject all ceremonies? Or what would it help if you should keep all of them? What you need is to teach one another to know God..."
Jesus says, "And this is life eternal, that they may know Thee the only true God..." (John 17:3).
And, "...the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God..." (2 Thess. 1:7b - 8a).
Do you know God, dear reader?
I don't see how many can in this ungodly nation - very few have sought Him with the whole heart.
This man I mentioned above went on and said, "I see not only the people of this city, but also the pastors going astray."
It's 2014 and this rings true for #littlerock #arkansas
"No one truly knows Christ unless he follows Him daily in life."
