(pre-reading "Lord We Are Able" hymn, Conjurske variant)
Suffering with Christ does not mean mindless adherrance. Nor does it mean offering ourselves a living sacrifice by words only.
No, suffering with Christ is a comprehensive understanding that I must be diligent to search out, find, agree with and walk out the way and will of the Lord Jesus for my life.
So many say, 'Lord, Lord,' offering themselves to Christ by mere rhetoric, language. But God does not want the language of our lips. He wants the fabric of our lives, our time, our soul, our interests, wills, desires - ALL turned over to Him. He wants a full exchange. He wants full possession.
He wants all of us, our beings and bodies, to be so consumed with His personhood, His mind, will, desires, work, love and mercy, that the world will call us little Christs and kill us because they killed Him.
That is suffering for Christ.
