Friends, will you wait for the grave to swallow you up and the sore Judgments of the great God to break your lethargy and undeceive your poor wretched soul?
Why, then it will be too late!
And how foolish and full of shame will you be found to be in on that day; that you have spurned and scorned the Light of the world that dawned daily upon your soul while you were still alive but now condemns you in eternity for negligence.
Jesus did once speak softly to you of your sins, that they were to be broken off by repentance, but you turned aside to follies and to store up unto thyself, wrath against the day of wrath and now Jesus speaks to you harshly and without mercy.
What? It is insanity and a mad, wicked world that would have a Christ die for sins and also join them in their sins (Isaiah 43:12).
Break up your fallow ground! The ground that once was tilled up by repentance and Humility and Fear of God but now lies sin-filled and desolate. It is time to make the salvation of your soul the all out effort of your life. It's Holiness! or Damnation.
Is the above too harsh? Well, would you rather have harshness, roughness and bruises now and eternal comforts later or just the opposite - temporary comforts now and torments, darkness and death for all of eternity?
