Oh, dear Facebook friends! How shall we ever truly live unless we die to ourselves?
How shall we ever live for and in Christ until we come to resolute and unflinching and uncompromising death to self daily, not in a proverbial 'I believe' sense, but in a literal carrying of our cross daily.
Most of you eat of the Lord's table weekly, monthly or yearly, however often your congregation remembers His death, but have you considered that as you take that symbolic bread of Jesus and the blood of Jesus to your own lips and body, that He is wanting and asking you to "go and do likewise"?
"As my Father has sent Me, so send I you."
And unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies it CANNOT and will not bear fruit (John 12:25 paraphrased).
We are still today in a Missionary, or Fighting, situation. May the collective shout of His saints be ever more: "My life for the world, for the world needs Christ."
To Every Creature!
