Over on ArkansasMatters.com a story came out on the 6th of February, where the LRAFB decided to change the Marriage course for an event they were hosting for its airmen. The event is called Wingman Day. On the agenda for this event was a marriage enrichment course called The Art of Marriage by Family Life. Yes, a christian based marriage seminar. However, the offense to this event, the airmen, the military and the United States and its constitution was the fact that LRAFB changed the event because 25 anonymous airmen complained that there was no other alternative. So, what did the LRAFB do? They changed the marriage course to a more ecumenical one, leaving the christian airmen to flounder while ecumenicism flaunted its baseness. A video on the site (see link below) shows an Air Force chaplain sanctioning the change.
I will say as a military chaplain that this is not the way to 'perform or provide' and the chaplain is not in compliance with his sworn to duty. You may ask, "How?" To answer, let me ask a question. What did 'changing' the event do? It neither performed for those heartily willing to attend the Art of Marriage nor did it provide for those who did not want to attend. The LRAFB, under the guidance of a chaplain, who needs to brush up on his code of conduct, went with a softer, compromised marriage course. Changing the event to a more ecumenical one actually catered to a small group of airmen and did not support the majority. What is not reported are those that wished to attend the Art of Marriage but could not because it was cancelled.
Friends, what should have been done? An alternative marriage course should have been brought in for the 25 anonymous airmen and the initial Art of Marriage conducted as well. Compromise is never to be named upon a chaplain. The military chaplain is never to compromise nor are they to pin the badge of ecumenicalism proudly upon their breast. This occurrence is red blot upon the chaplain corp. and it is only getting worse as chaplains in all branches bow to the devil of ecumenicalism. Since pluralism is the military's buzzword these days and all spines tingle at the sound; let me define it for you - world. Pluralism is not ecumenicalism! Period. Pluralism is all voices at the table equally being heard. Pluralism, also, is NOT truth. Only Jesus Christ is truth!
