The Hagen family is a budding nation and has at its command, Rich and Jody. Their arrows to be fit for God’s bow, are Joshua, 10; Jaedon, seven; Josiah, six; and Yangmei Eva Grace, three.
Married in June of 2001, this nation had its birth. One year later both Rich and Jody met the Lord Jesus and their lives were unashamedly altered. Jody, a Ph.D. neuropsychologist by training, with many years experience in child & adult, brain-injury, also found herself called upon by pastors for counseling services in their several congregations. Seeing with clear eyes a divide between secular and holy, Jody launched fully into biblical counseling, a need much greater than what psychology offers. Currently, Jody has attained the high degree of home-educator and household Chief Operating Officer, to which no degree can be conferred nor credentials justify. She continues to coach others in the ways of living well in body, soul and spirit. To learn more about her ministry Click Here. Rich, an English teacher, left his Army career as a Chaplain soldier and Cavalry Officer. Hearing the call to lay down arms, Rich made his move into ministry to soldiers, and then, after a personal upheaval (see testimony page), left the 'professional ministry' and launched out into the arms of God. Rich has several years experience preaching and outreach in local congregations, homeless shelters and street corners. After co-pastoring Liberty Baptist Church in Little Rock, AR for 3 years, our family submitted to God's call into full-time international missions. In July 2015, we held an auction and sold all our earthly possessions. On August 6, 2015 our family, with 15 suitcases, landed on Chinese soil and we will remain in this incredible country for as long as God has need of us here. Our family vision verse for 2018 is Colossians 3:1-4, 12-15…….. will you please pray that we would indeed “put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness” as we live amongst the Chinese people. There is much to do in the world with over 7 billion people. In William Booth's day, David Brainerd's day, John and Charles Wesley's day, J. Hudson Taylor's day, Charles Finney's day and the Apostle Paul's day, there were much fewer people in the world. Yet, if you think about what each of these men did, they set ablaze the world by the Holy Ghost in order to win souls. Is not our God today the same? Does not He wish none to perish? Can we sit still any longer knowing that sinners can only be saved by way of God's Word? Can we not dare all, risk all and give all for this soul-saving work? Oh that the Gospel of the Kingdom is preached; souls repent, believe and are baptized in water and in Holy Spirit; and they are taught to obey all that Jesus commanded. This soul-saving work must be done: there can be no shrinking! The few. The Humble. The Soldiers of Christ! |
